Founded in 1997 Les Femmes s’en Mêlent (LFSM) was, from the start, a response to the under-representation of women in most festivals thus becoming the first international event defending the musical creation by women artists. They continue to offer programming alternatives by defending artists in their career development, through concerts throughout France, while promoting women’s equality in music with its new action plan (workshops, conferences, meetings, screenings and debates) Les Femmes S’engagent.
