Teenagers aged 12-18 are invited to participate in a workshop where they can jam and play music together in spontaneously formed bands. They will be supported and guided by internationally successful female jazz musicians. The focus is on the joy of improvising and experimenting together. No prior musical knowledge of jazz is required – however, those who have already gained some experience playing an instrument or singing have all the prerequisites to experience the thrill of performing live at JAM as a Girls Day Jazzer for a day. Following the workshop and the work in the combos, the bands will give short concerts to which friends, family, and all interested parties are invited.
