Act Aware are an association of various actors in the area of awareness. They combine academic approaches with practical event experience focusing on the context of awareness and anti-discrimination – to prevent and intervene in cases of discrimination, disadvantages and border crossings. They see themselves as initiators who network organizers, initiatives and experts with one another. Their first project: ‘Act. Aware. Act. Now’ is conducting a nationwide survey, developing a handout and building a network. Their goal is to pool knowledge, develop common guidelines, have a positive influence on better cooperation at events and thus initiate a social transformation process beyond the event context.
