Founded in Paris, France, Madame Rap is the first media dedicated to womxn and LGBTQIA+ in hip hop. Its aim is to:
visibilize international femxle and LGBTQIA+ rappers, show that rap is not the most sexist and LGBTphobic music out there, promote gender equality and the links between hip hop and feminisms, fight gender-based violence, sexism and LGBT+phobia, highlight the inclusity and diversity of hip hop culture by celebrating “out of the box” artists who transcend labels and genders.
The online media Madame Rap is free and available in English, French and Spanish, It features an interactive map, a database of artists listed by name and by country, articles/videos, interviews, and the Madame Talk podcast.
